What
A surfbetter.com course is a series of detailed online lessons. We give you the helpful information that takes everybody else ten or twenty frustrating years to gather. You use the internet to access the lessons. Plus there’s an option for personalized video feedback from your online e-coach. Each lesson contains 3 to 4 A4 equivalent pages in text (overview, introduction to new knowledge, detailed content, sometimes common problems and summary) and optional “homework” skills (that are fun to practice). Each lesson also features combinations of pictures, explanatory captions, video clips or illustrations to help you understand better. After a full course you’ve learnt around 200-300 A4 sized pages of detailed surfing improvement information.
How
We email you an access password. Simply get online to the address we provide, and enter the password to access your choice of lessons. It's easy. You don't need to be a computer expert and your friends won't believe how you can be improving so quickly while they're still struggling away.
Ability levels
Each course comes in differing ability levels. Simply choose the level you wish to learn about:-
Beginner – for novice surfers just getting started but eventually want to get good
Intermediate – you can stand and ride green waves but are struggling to progress
Advanced – a short course for competent shortboarders wanting to rip like a pro
Contest – you’re determined to learn the secrets to success in surfing competitions
Each course has specific tips for longboarders and shortboarders. Don't think we only cater to one style of surfing. The language is simple and easy to understand and the course is fun to use.

Ross Phillips (Director of Surf Schools International, Tropicsurf, Wavesense Surfing Academy) wrote and designed each course. Ross is a surfer of 30 years and has instructed surfing for the past 19 years. He's coached thousands of people in surfing at beaches all around the planet.
